01
Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using SpendSense (the "app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the app.

We develop and maintain SpendSense as buildsbyaman. There is no account, no sign-up, and no subscription — so by using the app you accept these terms directly, without any separate registration step.

02
The service we provide

SpendSense is a personal finance tracker designed as a single-user, offline-first tool. It lets you record transactions, manage wallets, set budgets, track subscriptions, and view spending analytics — with all data stored locally on your own device.

The app is provided free of charge. There is no paid tier, no premium subscription, and no in-app purchases today.

03
Eligibility

SpendSense may be used by anyone. Because the app collects no personal data and requires no account, there are no age-based restrictions or verification steps on our side.

You are responsible for ensuring the device you use the app on belongs to you or that you're authorised to use it.

04
License & permitted use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SpendSense for your personal, non-commercial purposes. The app remains our intellectual property.

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the app, except as permitted by law. You may not resell, redistribute, or offer the app as a service to third parties.

05
Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial information you enter. SpendSense is a record-keeping and budgeting tool — it does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice.

You agree not to use the app in any way that violates applicable laws, interferes with the app's operation, or attempts to access it through unauthorised means.

06
Your data & privacy

We do not collect, transmit, or store your financial data on any server. Everything you enter stays in a local database on your device. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Optional Google Drive backup. If you choose to enable it, the app can back up your data to your own Google Drive using Google's drive.file scope. Those backup files live under your Google account — not on our servers. You can password-encrypt them for extra protection, and you can delete them at any time.

07
Intellectual property

SpendSense, including its code, design, branding, and content, is owned by buildsbyaman and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Your financial data belongs to you, and we make no claim to it.

08
Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data you enter will always be retrievable. A local-only app means your data is only as safe as your device.

09
Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, buildsbyaman shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or financial losses arising from your use of the app.

You use SpendSense at your own risk. For important financial records, we recommend using the built-in export feature and, if you enable it, the optional Google Drive backup.

10
Changes, governing law & contact

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer's jurisdiction. Questions about these terms? Reach out to buildsbyaman — you can find contact information in the app store listing or on GitHub.
